Charity Spotlight | Cocheco Valley Humane Society
founded in 1984, is a non-profit organization dedicated solely to the care of homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Strafford County. The Society, located in the county complex on County Farm Road, cares for approximately 3,000 animals per year which are dropped off at its door for one reason or another. This monumental undertaking is accomplished with a handful of staff members, a great number of volunteers, and many generous donations from the community. The shelter receives no funds from the government and runs this large operation totally on fundraisers and donations from the public.

Meet Moppet!
"I'm waiting to find a forever home"
Not even 2 years old, Moppet, now spayed, was starving and had ear infections, yet is as friendly and loving as if that was all she had ever known.
Moppet is ready to close a sad chapter of her life and start fresh. She's gentle, tolerant of the other cats and will do fine with older children. When cared for and loved, she will radiate her beautiful soul right back.
If you would like to learn more about Moppet or any of the other animals we have available for adoption please call the Cocheco Valley Humane Society at 603-749-5322, stop by the shelter at 262 County Farm Rd. on Wed, Thur 12-4, Fri-Sat 12-5, or Sunday 12-4 in Dover or visit our website www.cvhsonline.org.
